ABOUT COMU

COMU was established on 23 November 2009, bringing together the ownership monitoring, appointments and governance functions of the Treasury and the former Crown Company Monitoring Advisory Unit (CCMAU) into an integrated unit of the Treasury.

COMU is focused on improving the performance of the entities it directly monitors, supporting other monitoring agencies, and contributing to better balance sheet management across the Crown’s portfolio.

In doing this COMU will collaborate closely with other Treasury teams, performance monitoring and assurance agencies in the wider state sector, and with the private sector.
