The Crown Ownership Monitoring Unit (COMU), a unit within the Treasury, provides advice and services to Ministers through three Votes: Finance, Crown Research Institutes and State-Owned Enterprises.

The Treasury, like all government departments, is required to prepare a Statement of Intent and an Annual Report every year.

Statement of Intent

The Statement of Intent sets out the Treasury's priorities and outcomes and how the Treasury plans to achieve these. The section of the Treasury's latest Statement of Intent which is pertinent to COMU is available at Statement of Intent - Result: Management of Crown Risks and Balance Sheet on the Treasury website.

Annual Report

The Annual Report assesses the Treasury's progress against its outcomes and reports on its financial position. Treasury’s latest Annual Report, Annual Report of the Treasury for the Year Ended 30 June 2010, was tabled in Parliament on 14 October 2010.
